Stonyridge Wine Estate, Waiheke Island

Kirianna & David chose the lovely Stonyridge Vineyard on Waiheke Island which perfectly suited their laid back but elegant style.

We headed over to the island the night before and the weather was looking dicey.  Overnight it bucketed down but the morning rolled around, the rain stopped and we managed to pull off a beautiful outdoor ceremony *Sigh* (love it when things just work out!)

Being a November wedding we designed bouquets of fluffy white peonies and alstromeria with olive leaf. The girls had some green vibernum also. The paige boy carried a little moss pillow and the two flower girls had sweet little vintage jars with twine and bubbles.

For the ceremony, two large planters with olive, roses, peonies and alstro framed the bridal party and shepherds crooks with vintage jar lanterns lined the aisle.

A venue like Stonyridge doesn't need a huge amount of work, just well placed details. We used blackboards to direct guests and for the seating plan. Birdcages made the perfect centerpieces with hanging votive candles and floral accents just adding a softness. For guest favours we filled little nests with candied almonds.
