AWARDS GALA DINNER // EVENT DESIGN + STYLING, FLORAL DESIGN.
“The simple act of laying the table, when done well, can convey a powerful message.”
CBA commissioned us to bring to life their vision for a nuanced interpretation of a NZ inspired look for their awards dinner.
Being located in a largely blank canvas space like the Auckland Museum Event Centre, one of the challenges for this project was to design a look and feel with warmth, personality and beauty that would be remembered by guests.
We began with a long trestle format to evoke the family meal, laid with a beautiful stonewashed linen. Layers of texture were added through stoneware, crystal glassware, gold cutlery and napkin rings and a personalised menu.
New Zealand native foliage centrepieces and installation bought life and vibrancy to the look and along with details like the inclusion of a pounamu texture and bespoke pinch pots featuring West Coast sand by a NZ artisan immersed guests in a uniquely NZ experience.

RESULTS
“Thank you for the beautiful job you did with our dinner – it was stunning and all of the guests loved it. I personally don’t have any negative feedback at all – I think it looked amazing.”
