Barfoot & Thompson were turning 100 — and celebrating at the race day they're naming rights sponsor of. The pressure was on to deliver something worthy of the milestone. The problem? Track upgrades at Ellerslie meant Auckland Cup had temporarily relocated to Pukekohe Park. A bare-bones venue, a centenary to celebrate, and a client expecting the wow factor.
DELIVER
Bold geometric patterns, extravagant florals, architectural detailing, and vintage racing elements turned an empty shell into something guests didn't expect to walk into. Every surface, every sightline, designed to surprise.
PROVOKE
We leaned into the milestone. 100 years called for a nod to the era that started it all — the glamour, geometry, and swagger of Art Deco. Rather than trying to work around the venue, we transformed it entirely.
PROVE
The transformation stunned. The client described the result as absolutely nailing the brief, and guests celebrated in a space that made Pukekohe feel like it had always been the plan.
